Short Burst of Heavy Rain Leaves Cape Town Flooded

A late afternoon burst of rain resulted in over 150 homes being flooded in Cape Town, South Africa, the city’s Disaster Risk Management (DRM) team said on Friday.

The floods caused havoc in Cape Town’s informal settlements, where there is little to no drainage systems in place for shacks set up in the areas.
