Five teenage boys suffered serious injuries after a grenade exploded in Vanguard Estate in Cape Town, South Africa, the Emergency Medical and Forensic Pathology Services said on Tuesday.
“Two teenage boys were critically injured, and three others were rushed to several nearby medical facilities with serious injuries after a hand grenade detonated at a house in Vanguard Estate, Cape Town at around 19H00 on Monday night ,” said Robert Daniels, the principal communications officer in a statement.
“Western Cape Government Health Emergency medical Services rushed the boys to local hospitals as well as a nearby private medical facility. Details surrounding the circumstances of the explosion are still unclear, but police are investigating.”
