Portugal have won Euro 2016 after an extra-time victory over hosts France in Saint-Denis.
A stunning 25-yard-strike from Eder gave the Portuguese victory in a tightly contested match, giving the country their first ever international title.
Portugal began to close shop after Cristano Ronaldo was stretchered off with a knee injury in the fist half as thier defence was put under immense pressure from the French forwards.
Pierre-Andre Gignac almost won the game for the hosts after hitting the post in regulation time after a scramble in the Portuguese box.
Rui Patricio also put in a man-of-the-match performance after keeping out the French attack, with his most important save coming off the head of the tournament’s top scorer Antoinne Griezmann.
But the Portuguese held on and Eder’s strike late in the second half of extra time secured the win for Portugal.
