Two men were recently foiled when they tried to rob a branch f McDonald’s where 12 soldiers were eating lunch.
The servicemen – who are trained in hostage situations, prevented the two men from carrying out an armed robbery of the fast food restaurant in France.
It is reported that the suspects burst into the Ecole-Valentin branch and as one of the robbers fired a warning shot into the air, another began raiding the tills.
The soldiers then set upon the burglars once McDonald’s employees began to take cover in the kitchen.
It is believed one of the robbers fell down some steps and was apprehended after the soldiers began their attempt to foil the gunmen, while his accomplice was shot in the chest.
They held the men until police arrived to arrest them.
