New Mills A.F.C from Derbyshire, England met a fitting end to a horrendous season by finally being relegated after losing 9-0 to Spennymoor F.C.
‘The Millers’, as the club are affectionately known as, were relegated from the Northern Premier League Division One North, the EIGHTH tier in England’s football pyramid after not having won a single game all season.
The Derbyshire club have a goal difference of -115 and have lost all but two games this season, amounting a meagre two points out of a possible 115 – the worst by any club in the United Kingdom.
The club find themselves bottom of the league, 26 points from safety with only seven games of the regular season left.
Their league record reads: Played 35, drew two, lost 33, scored 21 and conceded 136.
New Mills have had four managers this season, with none being able to find a winning formula.
