A Pensylvanian judge has today banned people from wearing pajamas to his courtroom.
This comes after he noticed that more and more people were turning up to his proceedings wearing their bedtime attire.
District Judge Craig Long told WNEP that because of this strange trend he had decided to take action and ban people from wearing PJs to his court proceedings, as he had become distressed by the casual attitude people showed towards his court.
Judge Long told WNEP: “We have a growing problem of people not dressing appropriately for court.”
“I just put it out there as a reminder of the code of conduct that should be followed when appearing in court,” he explained.
“Just like if you’re going to church, you should dress appropriately.”
The sign reads “Pajamas are NOT suitable attire for district court” with Judge Long saying that he had planned to put the sign up for some time.
